The Little Dojo and its ancestors have been long involved with Theatrical Martial Arts. Fook Yueng was a member of the Chinese Red Boat Opera as was his friend Mr. Lee the father of Bruce, and of course Bruce Lee was deeply involved in the theatrical aspects of the arts as well. It is of course apperant the affect Bruce Lee had on Performance Martial Arts.
With that in mind The Little Dojo is very pleased to co sponsor Performance or Extreme Martial Arts together with Walla Walla’s Premier Martial Arts. Extreme Martial Arts or XMA is a new movement what they call a Revolution in Martial Arts, combining presentation skills, gymnastics, dance and theater. XMA is the creation of martial arts Super Star Mike Chat, Premier Martial Arts is also integrating the excellent Millennium Training Curriculum created by Roland Osborne. Thisprogram is available for anyone of any age that is interested in taking their presentation skills to a new level of excellence.
Walla Walla’s Premier Martial Arts XDT is currently using these methods to train and the results are fantastic. They have won many first place trophies, ribbons and grand championships, but the real value is in seeing young people becoming self actualized confident young people.
On August 25th, 2006Walla Walla’s Premier Martial Arts is hosting a beginning XMA class for new students. The tuition is free. All participants will get to experience this new method of training excellence, and learn a new power move. Refreshments will be provided, this event is open to the public and all the local Martial Arts and Karate Schools are invited to attend and join in the XMA Revolution.
Join the XDT for the Muddy Frogwater Festival, on Saturday morning at 9:00am as the XDT sturts their stuff in the Muddy Frogwater Parade. followed with performances by the XDT and some of the adult students at 12:30 pm @ Yantis Park. Hope to see you there showing your school spirit by wearing your PMA T-Shirts.
Premier Martial Arts and The Premier Martial Arts Extreme Demo Team are putting on the 2006 Super Summer Camp. Kids are learning to do great karate tricks, gymnastics, self defense and to have great attitudes for life. Everyone had a great time and appreciated the hospitality and fairness and level of competition at the event.
It was an honor to meet several martial arts legends such as Skip Hancock (student of Grand Master Ed Parker and co author of several of his books), and Mr. Bledsoe (teaching in Spokane since 1964).
